What is HIFU?

This non-invasive treatment can target various depths of the body’s tissue for skin lifting and body contouring. It works by targeting deeper layers in the skin, boosting new collagen production and regenerating collagen right at the source. The treatment is very tolerable and has no downtime.

On the face it works as a non-invasive facelift, tightening the skin, ironing out wrinkles, targeting the jowl and improves overall skin tone, pores, brightness and elasticity. Larger Cartridges are used to treat body areas – here the HIFU energy targets the fat layer and destroys fat cells. Excellent treatment for post pregnancy tummy, body contouring, abdomen fat, thighs and a bum lift. It is a very effective treatment for both cm loss and fat loss – with the bonus of skin tightening at the same time.

How does HIFU work?

The device uses ultrasound, targeting the upper dermis 1.5mm, the lower dermis 3.00mm and most importantly the SMAS layer at 4.5mm. The SMAS layer sits between you muscle and your fat layer and is the area where a Plastic Surgeon would pull and tighten in a surgical facelift. HIFU targets this layer without any surgical incisions, giving you a non-invasive, no down-time face lift, tightening the skin, ironing out wrinkles, targeting the jowl and improves overall skin tone, pores, brightness and elasticity.

Ultrasound energy causes the tissues to heat up rapidly, and once the cells in the targeted area reaches a certain temperature, it experience cellular damage. This may seem counterintuitive, but the damage actually stimulates the cells to produces more collagen. The Ultrasound beam is focused on a specific tissue site, therefore there can cause no damage to the upper layers of the skin or adjacent tissues.
